Paneer Shimla Mirch
Apart from normal Indian curry spices, capsicum, paneer, onion and tomato, this paneer capsicum recipe also uses Kasuri methi, which adds nice subtle taste and flavour to the gravy.
INGREDIENTS
- 200 gms cottage cheese (paneer) – cut into 1/2″ cubes
- 2 green capsicums (shimla mirch) – cut into thin strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 flakes garlic – crushed
- 1/2 cup readymade tomato puree
- 1/2-1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp sugar
METHODS
Microwave olive oil and garlic in a bowl uncovered for 1 minute.
Add the capsicums strips, red chili powder, corainder powder, garam masala powder, tomato puree, salt and sugar. Mix Well. Miceowave uncovered for five minutes.
Add cottage cheese. Mix well and keep aside. Just before serving, microwave covered for 2 minutes or till the cottage cheese becomes soft.
