Star Pogba is being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this transfer window, with the La Liga giants determined to secure his signature.
Zinedine Zidane is eager to land a midfielder he wanted three years ago having seen his side struggle in La Liga last term.
Pogba has blown hot and cold for Manchester United ever since his return to Old Trafford in January 2016 and, speaking on Sunday, dropped an exit bombshell.
Pogba all but confirmed he will be on the move this summer, telling reporters in Tokyo: “After this season,
and after everything that happened this season,
with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”
He continued: “The problem is, you might not get the best out of him like they generally a lot of the time haven’t got the best out of him.
“And I think if you asked a lot of Manchester United fans, they know the capability of the guy,
you just need to throw in his pedigree having won the World Cup and having been one of the definitive players of the competition.
“Having said all that, would Manchester United fans be in floods of tears if he went and they got £150m for him? I’m guessing not. I really am guessing not.
Meanwhile, United flop Kleberson believes Pogba is yet to find his best form for the club – three years on from his arrival.
“Pogba is a very good player, we saw his quality in the World Cup last year,” he said.
“But his style of play is a little different for the Premier League, he’s differently styled.
“To drive and run with the ball, to find the perfect pass; this is difficult to do in the Premier League.
“I played there for two years and I know how tough a league it is.
“He’s a very good player, but he is still to hit his top gear at Manchester United.”
