Install ionic
Ionic is a native platform for making high quality mobile apps basically targeted the platforms like IOS & Anddorid. You can make an app which will be supported on both platform IOS & Android.
First of all we need to know how to install ionic for creating app. That’s why I am writing this article . Just follow my steps.
Step 1:
If you haven’t install Node.js then do it first because we need to install Cordova. That’s why we need Node.js. Then use this command.
For Windows User
npm install -g cordova
For Linux User
$ sudo npm install -g cordova
Step 2:
Now we need to install ionic by this command.
For Windows User
npm install -g ionic
For Linux User
$ sudo npm install -g ionic
Step 3:
Now we need to decide in which view mode we will start our first project. There are three different view mode in the bellow.
Blank View
Tabs View
Menu View
To make your project from scratch means blank view type this command
For Windows user
ionic start myFirstApp blank
For Linux user
$ ionic start myFirstApp blank
To make your project in a tabs view then type this
For Windows user
ionic start myFirstApp tabs
For Linux user
$ ionic start myFirstApp tabs
To make your project with menu view then type this
For Windows user
ionic start myFirstApp sidemenu
For Linux user
$ ionic start myFirstApp sidemenu
Here you can change the app name means you can place anything in the place of ‘myFirstApp’.
Step 4:
This is the final step to start the project. First enter the project directory in terminal/cmd by this command
For Windows user
cd myFirstApp
For Linux user
$ cd myFirstApp
Then add your desire platform by this command
For Windows user
ionic cordova platform add ios ionic cordova platform add android
For Linux user
$ ionic cordova platform add ios $ ionic cordova platform add android
Now we are ready to start building our Ionic app. If any query then jus put a comment in the bellow.
